Per a notice Baltimore Clayworks 5-2-17 Briefing notice, from Del. Maggie McIntosh, chair of the House Appropriations Committee, and Del. Adrienne Jones, Chair of the Capital Budget Subcommittee,a briefing will be held on Tuesday, May 2nd at 3 p.m. in the Appropriations Committee hearing room, room 120 of the House Office Building in Annapolis. This is a public meeting, and we are assembling Clayworks supporters to attend.

The purpose of the hearing is for representatives of the Board “to brief the subcommittee on the potential sale of Baltimore Clayworks’ building, the need or justification for a sale, and what plans, if any, Baltimore Clayworks has to replace the workspace, equipment, and programming available at the current location.”  This is an opportunity for public answers to the questions we have been asking since the February 3 sale announcement by Kathy Holt.

We are preparing speakers, and want to fill the room with supporters. We may organize a bus or caravan of cars to Annapolis for Tuesday afternoon — and we will advise you when details are available. Please make plans to join us if at all possible, and please share this information with everyone in your personal network who will be interested as well.

With Mary’s enthusiastic agreement re the important Annapolis briefing, the previously scheduled  “Friends of Mary Cloonan” Party, on Tuesday, May 2, will be postponed and rescheduled.

Please RSVP if you are able to attend or if you will help by placing calls to supporters this weekend. Email to: pathalle808@gmail.com.
